“Katie the Writer”

This picture is of me.  It symbolizes who I am, what I enjoy, and what’s important to me.  It includes my faith, my love of music (the flute), my favorite drink (coffee), and two of my favorite characters (Yoda and Grumpy.)  And, of course, it captures me as a writer.  Writing is something that has always been a part of my life, and I think this picture represents how important it really is to me.  I am able to write because I am supported by what and who I love.  Every time I look at this picture, it gives me inspiration about who I was, who I am, and who I want to be.

Carolina Russo is the one who painted the picture.  We came across each other’s blogs and got in touch through email.  She is an amazing artist and really cares about the work she does.  She wanted to paint a picture of me that represented me as a writer.  She took the time to get to know my likes and dislikes before starting on the painting.  Carolina is amazing to work with and takes the time to get her paintings “just right.”  If you are ever interested in getting a painting done, or buying a unique painting, I highly recommend her.  Here is a link to her blog https://yesterdayafter.com/home/
